Christmas tree

Yesterday Dad and I cut down a baby pine tree and put it on our trailer and drove it up the driveway. When we got back to our house we cut the top off it and put the top inside in a big white pot in our living room tomorrow we are going to decorate the tree.

I think people should make prices on healthy food a bit less than unhealthy food because people should eat more healthy food instead of unhealthy food. I think they should lower the prices for fruit and vegetables like avocados cherries and strawberries.

SLJ teaser if I was the boss

If I was the principal of my school I would put a swing in both the playgrounds. Also, I would add a flying fox from one playground to the other playground. I want to expand the fort and make a big pool as well. I want a swing because I think they're really fun and my friends think the same.

The water project is something that people have been doing to try and help people throughout the world to get clean water. 1 in 8 people start there day walking with a big container to try and find clean water.  More than 3.4 million people die every year from drinking dirty water with diseases all through the water. The water project is trying to save millions of lives.

Tynker

Today the class and I were creating stuff in tynker with Mr Kinane. He was showing us how to get all the stuff that we were going to use to make a couple shapes. All these shapes are made with this ↑ above the writing the only thing I changed was turn degrees I changed it heaps of times and I ended up making these.  

Calendar Art

Today we were making calendar art. We could practice to draw a portal in our everyday book then we would get a pencil then draw the portal then we coloured it in with some pastels I used blue and red then I outlined my picture. Then the teacher would take a picture of us and then we would put the picture in the middle of my portal.

Chip graph

 The first thing we had to do is make a graph in our books with telly marks.  Then we made this type of graph we could change what colour the graph was  This is my graph I made. These are the size of chips in a small snack bag of chips.  

Repeated Addition

We have been working on repeated addition with partners. Repeated addition is when you could have four groups of two so 2+2+2+2=8.     

Tynker

Today I learned how to use Tynker. I took a screenshot of how I made my picture it was pretty hard to make. This is what I used to make my picture. Mr Kinane showed us how to make our pictures then I just started messing around. Then I made this.

I have been learning about the word Mayhem it means trouble, destruction, disorder and stress.

Melted wax art

The class started to sketch the body of the clown it was quite hard for me.

We used an electric frypan to melt some crayons we used a muffin container. We did one paint stroke at a time then we dunked the brush in again. We practised the clowns in our everyday book. We used paintbrushes one paintbrush was for one colour the was for another. We had to use a giant piece of paper. It took me about a week to colour the picture in. It took like five minutes to dry after we stroked the piece of paper. We had to have turns on one side and then we went to

the other side. It was really fun.

Free choice writing

In the two week Holidays, I embarked to Queenstown with my mum and brother. We drove down to Queenstown, the drive was about nine hours.


We stayed at Tahuna Pod Hostel. We went up to the luge and we did a jelly bean spin we spun a wheel and whatever we landed on we had to eat it could be a nice one or a bad one. We had meat-lovers pizza for lunch. My brother and I went on the go carts I went on the fast track with my brother me and him raced I won the first round then my brother won the other two. After we left we went to thrill zone a virtual reality place. We played a really scary zombie game we had to protect a power source. There were different guns floating in the air that we had to shoot than we had the gun that we shot at. Then we played a music game where we had fists and we had an orange and pink fist there pink and orange coloured balls that we had to punch. 

Reflection Term 2 2019

My favourite thing this year was art because we made clowns we drew them & melted crayons to use them like paint. 

I'm good at football at PE cause I’ve learned a lot more about football & how to play a lot better. 

I need to work on not being distracted by others because I don’t do as much work. 

I like playing with my friends because we like to play fun games like ball tag in the fort & puppy. 

I didn’t like doing my reflection on the term.

Cross country

 

 My name is Zack. I did cross country with Kaniere School on Friday the sixth of June 2019. We left School at about 9:45am. I ran with the year threes. I ran with Lincoln, Haki, Louis and Ben. The sun was out but it was a bit cold. Most of the School was there. Before my race, I played tag with my friends. We walked to cross country. My Mum and Dad were there. It was so muddy that my friend Lincoln's shoe fell off during the race but he picked it up and kept on going. I was very nervous to do cross country. Denominator and Numerator

I have been learning about fractions. There is a Denominator and a Numerator.  The Numerator means the fraction that is shaded. The Denominator shows how many pieces.

This week I've been learning about the word bolt. The word bolt means a lightning bolt hit my house & I bolted across a field.

Why does Mr Beadle not like the kids playing bull rush? How do you play bull rush? Why did Lucy complain turned off the TV? Why did dad turn off the TV?

Up Over the Tens N2

I was learning to use strips of animals I got maths questions and used the strips of animals to work out the answer. If it 77 + ? = 82 I had to get 77 and then add on some till I got 82. The answer was the number I added.

We are learning about computers. Make sure you stay on the right place at the right time. Be responsible with your computer. Don't touch other peoples computers. Hold your computer with two hands.

This is my shape I made with five octagons and 24 triangles. 

Art

I think it was quite hard to do the writing because I didn't know what to write. I think the art was really fun because there were so many different colours to use.  

Place Value Using Money

I made $500 out of $100 dollar notes.
$500,s is worth 5 hundred, hundred dollar notes.
I didn't really understand place value so I needed some help.
